About Spooky Valley

Documenting the unexplained, preserving the mysterious, and collecting accounts of paranormal phenomena throughout human history.

Our Mission

Spooky Valley exists to document and preserve accounts of paranormal activity from across the world and throughout history. We believe that these experiences, whether ultimately explained or forever mysterious, represent an important part of human culture and deserve to be recorded.

From ancient tales of restless spirits to modern-day ghost encounters, from terrifying poltergeist cases to unexplained apparitions, we aim to create a comprehensive archive of the supernatural.

What We Document

Hauntings

Locations where spirits are believed to reside, from historic mansions to ordinary homes. We document both residual and intelligent hauntings.

Poltergeists

Cases of physical disturbances attributed to supernatural causes - moving objects, unexplained sounds, and physical manifestations.

Apparitions

Sightings of ghostly figures, from full-bodied apparitions to shadow people, mists, and other visual phenomena.

Historical Events

Well-documented cases from history that have been investigated, written about, and studied by researchers.

Editorial Approach

We approach each account with an open mind while maintaining healthy skepticism. We note when cases have been debunked or explained, and we indicate when events have been verified by multiple witnesses or investigators.

Our goal is not to prove or disprove the existence of the supernatural, but to accurately document what people have experienced and reported. These stories are part of our collective human experience, regardless of their ultimate explanation.

Sourcing & Methodology

Every event entry is built from primary witness accounts, contemporary press coverage, declassified government records, and the work of established investigators in the field. Where credible documentation exists we cite it; where claims rest on a single source or anonymous testimony, we say so. Cases marked Verified are those with multiple independent witnesses, surviving physical evidence, or formal investigation records (military, law-enforcement, or peer-reviewed).

We distinguish between documented incidents and the interpretations attached to them. A sighting is a fact about what someone reported; a flying saucer is one possible explanation. Our entries try to keep the two separate so readers can weigh the evidence themselves.

Editorial Team

Spooky Valley is researched and maintained by the team at Hadamard LLC, which also publishes Quantum Zeitgeist (quantum computing news), Qubit Navigator, and NewSpaceTracker. Our editorial standards are informed by science journalism rather than belief advocacy: we are interested in what is documented, what is contested, and what remains genuinely unexplained.

Editorial corrections, source additions, and methodology improvements can be submitted via the Submit page or directly via Contact. Significant updates are noted on individual event pages with their last-updated date.

Contributing

Spooky Valley relies on contributions from people like you. If you've had a paranormal experience, we want to hear about it. Every account helps build our understanding of these mysterious phenomena.

We also welcome researchers, historians, and enthusiasts who want to help document and verify cases. Together, we can create the most comprehensive archive of paranormal events.
