Old Changi Hospital

Built in 1935 as a British military hospital, Old Changi became a place of unimaginable horror during World War II.

The Japanese Occupation

During WWII, Japanese forces used the hospital as a prison camp and torture facility. Allied soldiers and local civilians suffered brutal interrogations, medical experiments, mass executions, starvation, and disease. The exact death toll is unknown, but the suffering left an indelible mark on the location.

Haunted Halls

The basement was used as a torture chamber where visitors today report screams echoing through empty rooms, blood stains that mysteriously reappear after cleaning, and aggressive entities that physically attack trespassers.

The hospital wards host apparitions of soldiers in WWII uniforms and nurses walking corridors in period dress. Patients are seen lying in hospital beds, only to vanish when anyone approaches them.

The operating theater is haunted by ghostly figures performing surgery, accompanied by the sounds of screaming during phantom procedures. Cold spots appear suddenly, and electronic equipment malfunctions inexplicably in this area.

Modern Encounters

Despite the building being abandoned for decades, security guards and trespassers report lights turning on in empty floors, faces appearing in windows, being chased by unseen entities, electronic equipment failing without explanation, and overwhelming feelings of dread that drive people from the premises.

The Spirits

Common apparitions include a Japanese soldier carrying a sword, a British nurse in 1940s uniform, child spirits from the pediatric ward, and a figure wearing a surgical mask in the operating room.

The hospital remains abandoned and officially off-limits, though paranormal investigators occasionally gain access.
